For a day in your courts is better than a thousand [anywhere else]; I would rather be a doorkeeper and stand at the threshold in the house of my God than to dwell [at ease] in the tents of wickedness (Psalm 84:10 Amp.) One day in the presence of The Lord does not compare to a thousand anywhere else. Practicing the presence of God is the most important thing we can experience as his people. A doorkeeper stood at the threshold of the house of God and tended the door. It does not seem to be that important of a job, but at least at the threshold he still recognizes he is in the presence of God. This blesses me today. I could be dwelling at ease in the tents of those who are wicked, but Im not. I traded my tent of wickedness for the house of God years ago. The promotion of doorkeeper in the house of God is a blessed one because the position put me in his presence. Blessings.
