For a motorcycle season that started out slow for most, due to the extremely wet spring, it appears we have had an unprecedented number of serious and fatal motorcycle accidents. If my recollection is correct, this accident is number 10 for this season that represented very serious injury or fatality. We have a Government who is disinterested in promoting Motorcycle Safety and Awareness and Safety Services of Nova Scotia seem to be content to stand on their dumbed down entry level Motorcycle Course to set beginners out onto the highways and biways of our Province. We need quality training for motorcyclists, revamped driver education overall, and Public service announcements to bring the message home to drivers and riders alike. With a Government sitting with their thumbs up their asses, and a Training Facility content with the status quo, we will unfortunately see more such accidents in the future. Be careful out there people, if you drive, LOOK TWICE AND SAVE A LIFE, WATCH FOR MOTORCYCLES, and if you ride, RIDE LIKE YOU ARE INVISIBLE, RIDE DEFENSIVELY, KEEP ALERT, and everyone please BE SAFE!
