For a while I have pondered about how equal we all are in the eyes - TopicsExpress

For a while I have pondered about how equal we all are in the eyes of God. How important it is to realise that God loves us just as much as he loves the poor vagrant on the street and even the murderer in prison. We are all sinners in His eyes. It is important to realise this in order to avoid the sins of pride and arrogance which we so easily adopt and which separates us from Him and His blessings. Yesterday I read Psalm 41 and the first two versus struck me as having relevance to what had been on my mind for quite a while. The Psalm says; "1. Blessed are those who have regard for the weak. The Lord delivers them in times of trouble. 2. The Lord protects and preserves them-they are counted amongst the blessed in the land. He does not give them over to the desires of their foes". It again amazed me as it always does, how God was speaking to me in such a direct way. This message is something that we should never forget and in fact should keep uppermost in our minds. We are all considered equal in His eyes. When we react to our foes who at times pursue us relentlessly, let this message too determine how we react. We have no need for anger, aggression, or fear. The Lord protects us from our foes. He has taken care of it. What we need to do is to have regard for the weak. Those who do not know Jesus Christ as the Son of God and as their Saviour. Our foes can most probably be counted amongst these. The name of God which may be associated with his message above is El haKadosh. The Holy God. He is Holy and all of us, no matter our sin, our circumstances, education etc. can only come to Him through Jesus. The weekend is upon us. I hope it is peaceful and blessed. I am hoping to go sailing. What are your plans? Shalom.
