For all Woodford Residents: The conditions today (Wednesday) if they occur as predicted MAY bring the fire closer to our village. The media seem to be doing a good job in scaring the pants off you, so we want to reassure you that: 1) the media are working from worst case scenario planning that we have to do. Beating things up is their job, we cant change that. They are not going to tread a more cautious middle ground, which is the more likely scenario. 2) we will be doing our damned best to give you as much warning as possible should evacuation become needed. At the moment, we are not anywhere near that. If you are watching for posts from this page, it will be here, as well as on your mobile phone via SMS. Sometime today, I expect to be able to organise a briefing for you at the shed so that we can tell you what is happening, and what our plan is for our village.
