For all my family, FB friends and their friends and families who are walking through grief in this celebratory season; I pray boldly that you feel comfort and peace in the days ahead. That you give yourself permission to turn down party invitations that are just too much to bear and participate in. That you allow yourself quiet moments of reflection of beautiful memories and treasured moments and with their sting may you find a peace filled gratefulness bathe your heart to have known this precious and unique love. I pray you draw comfort even if it is for short moments from your tears, as they are counted and known by Our Creator. And finally I pray that you share your grief with others who are grieving, this is a healing balm to our hearts. He designed us to be in fellowship with each other. Love is so very powerful even in the sorrow for a loved ones absence holds strengths. These heart connecting opportunities are life lines. Im so very thankful that we have the ability to pray and comfort one another, even in the midst of our own pain. Im also so very thankful that Our Savior touch and voice is just a whisper away. There is no destination with grief, we walk this earthly journey with chunks of us missing. Nothing fills that space, nothing this Earth provides. So I pray for all of us on this expedition called life as we travel through peaks and valleys and forests and deserts, may your present and future trailheads be lined with peace, safety and the knowledge that the best is yet to come!! 2 Cor. 5:6 For we are always of good courage and know that while we are in our body alive here on Earth, we are absent from The Lord.
