For all my local friends. If you are interested in doing a Thanksgiving blessing bag for a family in need, please let me know. I am doing a drop to catholic charities tomorrow. I will pick up bags from you. Let me know where and when. Here is the list: Thanksgiving Blessing Bags • 2 cans of green beans • 1 can of sweet potatoes • 1 can of cranberry sauce • 2 cans of corn • 1 box of stove top like stuffing • 1 box of instant mash potatoes • 2 cans of gravy or 2 packets of gravy mix • 1 aluminum oval turkey roasting pan • 1 package of muffin or cornbread mix (just add water kind) • 1 box of cake mix or brownie mix (or similar dessert) • 1 jar of instant ice tea or jug of premade • 1 $15 gift card at a local store for a turkey You can find all these items at the dollar store but you may find them for less than a $1 at Walmart. Wherever you decide to purchase them keep it simple don’t make it a chore by traveling all around town. At the very most it should cost you no more than $30. Place all the items in the aluminum pan or place everything in a bag. If you don’t have a lot of money you can get a group of three or four to split the list. Remember it’s about helping those less fortunate than us and if you can participate please do so and if not that is okay too. I wanted to do this so that I could feel good about sitting down to eat my beautiful dinner knowing that because of me someone else gets to do the same. The bags will be going to Catholic Charities here in Troy who will distribute them to families in need. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SUPPORTING THIS EFFORT!!!
