For all of my female friends turning 40 this year--it seems like there are a lot of us! I just wanted to share some info about one of the great things about turning 40...the mammogram. A friend of mine posted her mammogram callback experience on facebook and it really helped me when I had the same experience not to freak out. Callbacks are very very common. They are scary. But they are usually nothing to worry about. Of course many doctors and techs dont inform you as to how common a callback and a benign lump is, so it is only natural to freak out and worry for as long as they make you wait to get rechecked. I went through it, it sucked. I highly recommend trying to get in for a recheck as soon as possible, just for your nerves. I offered to wait in the office for a spot when they said they could not schedule me for a few days. I waited for all of 10 minutes before they got me in and it saved me several days of stress. Hope someone sees this and it helps them as it helped me.
