For all of my friends that live in Missouri. I have done some research on Amendment 1, aka Public farming bill. This is a bad deal if passed. Why? Because it will open the doors for machine farming. Sounds harmless doesnt it? Yet, it is a term used by corporate farm companies like Monsanto and Cargill. This will allow for Corporations to buy up land and industrialize the farms and ranches. Also it will bind the hands of groups who try to regulate how animals are fed, raised, bred and treated. Just a few years ago, Iowa passed a bill similar to Amendment 1. They now have some of the most polluted rivers and streams in the USA. This is due to large livestock operations that are constitutionally protected to feed and raise too many animals per acre. The fecal matter is piled up and it drains into the streams and rivers and also the drinking water system. And the industrialized farms that use much larger amounts of pesticides and fertilizers, which drain off and end up in our water as well And it will take even more money away from missourians pockets Please do not take my word for it alone. Google this and within just 20 minutes you will be able to read for yourself, several opposing viewpoints from reputable sources and see this is BAD for Missouri! Vote NO on Amendment 1 Please, spread the word. We dont have much time until the August 5th vote
