I just spoke with Joe and told him I would post this update on his behalf. Hes back in Cedars. They discovered that his intense pain was being caused by bleeding in the brain---where the original tumor was. Theyre treating him with blood thinners, and pain medications. He does not think they will be doing surgery. He hasnt looked at Facebook, but I told him about the outpouring of notes and support, and he was so pleased, and sends everyone his thanks and love. He definitely sounded tired, but also funny and alert; very much our Joe.
