For all of you who have been following the recent events at the Sean/Rickey household, you know that on Saturday we had a new addition to the family, albeit a bit too short, but wonderful to have her. When she first showed up at the house we contacted local businesses and put her on craigslist to give whomever owns her the ability to find her. After finding out from a neighbor that she may have been dropped off, we did not give it much thought afterwards. We had given a place of business that we always go to our number should someone be looking for her. Last evening around 6:00 pm Sean took a call from a woman who indicated she lost a three legged dog and was looking for her, she described the dog in detail, and the owner of the business we had notified told her he knows us and knows that we have her dog and to call us. She arrived, and I being the type of "personality" I am immediately gave her the third degree and asked her why we would be told that she may have been dropped off? The owner stated she did not know as she started to put the dog in the back of an open pick up truck. I then said "I know now how your dog got away." I then shook my head as the woman stated that I had put her on the defense the moment she had arrived. I am sorry, for making any one feel defensive, however; there was a dog in need, I wanted to know how this three legged dog got away and was concerned for her, so yes I admit my feelings really got the best of me. Sean, being the wonderful balance I need in life, took control of the situation, while I returned back to the house to give Sophia what had to be the longest and most profound hug she ever got from me. I guess I was wanting to see that when this woman, whoever she is, first saw her dog after it being gone for 48 hours. There will be others I am sure, but all animals out there needing love and a good home, remember, Rickey and Sean are here for you guys just drop bye anytime! We miss you Celeste! Already!
