For all those attending the WCQ in Albany this weekend, some last - TopicsExpress

For all those attending the WCQ in Albany this weekend, some last minute pieces of advice: 1. Buy 2 packs of unopened sleeves that day. Resleeve your deck completely when you get your deck registration sheet. Resleeve again before the playoffs if you make it. 2. Show up early. Registration is at 9am both days, get there early. Getting there around 7 or 8 allows you to talk to people, trade and help relax by talking to friends, it also gets you a good place on line and more time to fill out the registration carefully and completely 3. SPs and other cards. As always, you will be required to list special rarities such as SPs and TD cards on separate lines, this is an easy mistake to make, dont make it! (Bermuda players, your B/W Duos dont need separate lines, SPs have different numbers, the Duos dont.) 4. EAT! This is super important, eat and sleep as much as you can before the event, between the start and end times and the grinder, both days are going to be long. Fatigue affects your mood, and your playing ability. Losing to your eyelids is just as bad as losing to your deck registration. 5. Use the Judge Staff. Players have the option to have a TON of information provided to them. There are a lot of cards in all three Bushiroad, you may not have seen them all. If theres something you dont understand or are unfamiliar with, your opponent must answer your question honestly and clearly, if you dont understand, you can ask a Judge to help. They will give you as much information as they can. 6. Know the difference between an ACT, AUTO, and CONT skill, Know that ACT works during the Main Step, AUTO looks for a condition to happen first, and CONT is always active and always checking for its application. 7. Weiss Schwarz players! Dont forget triggered effects of your backstage cards! Correctly utilizing the triggers on Shiro and Yuri can force your opponent to lose fights they thought they were in control of. Dont forget you have them. 8. Go Slow and think. 20 minutes may not sound like enough time to play calmly and comfortably, but for a best of 1, it is. Think about your plays, get information if you have to, there is a difference between being cautious and stalling, be cautious, if you rush or take your opponents word for granted and you lose because of it, you did that to you. 9. Ill be there. Before the opening ceremony, all the judges will be coming around to ask if anyone needs help with their deck sheets, or have any questions, if you do, get my attention, pull me aside, ask questions, voice concerns. Ill likely be able to handle it, if not, Ill introduce you to a Bushiroad official that will.
