For all you Jeep/Car experts out there, this one is for you.....everyone else can continue looking at other FB status : ) A few weeks ago my Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited (4.7L Engine) stalled on the freeway without warning. Right after it stalled nothing in my car worked with the key turned, gauges didnt work, no power and it certainly would not turn over. Then, all of a sudden the power came back on, gauges worked and the car started perfectly. Over the past couple of days it has repeated the past occurrences over and over, but the only thing that has remained consistent is the car stalling without warning. Sometimes I can just park and start it right back up, other times I park and the car will not start until a few minutes go back and the gauges start working again. The car only has low miles on it and shows nothing on the gauges like overheating and no check engine likes come on. One thing that I found odd was that the Key with a cross popped up on the dash and then went away, like it was not honoring the original key provided by the manufacture. I took it to my dads friends shop who is an expert on everything about cars and he check both the Transmission computer and Engine computer and the transmission computer pulled up a crank sensor code but the engine computer pulled up nothing. I am stumped with this issue as the car sits in the garage, I am lucky that the next couple of weeks I am traveling for work. Any bit of advice would be extremely helpful and appreciated.
