For all you dear friends who remind me to take care of myself...well, this was my Self-Care Saturday: Cleaned the house last night, so I got to sleep in a little. Woke up to a beautiful morning and got ready for the day, took the dog for a walk, talked with the outstanding gardener in the neighborhood, Mr. Lee, fixed breakfast for my Dad, put some laundry in the machine, some caregivers came over, and I left. Had an incredible 2-hour massage with my amazing massage therapist Richard, then had a mani-pedi, kicked around in some eclectic shops, found something I wanted on sale, listened to The Beatles, Cat Stevens, and Journey while having soup and salad at Raffertys, played for Mass with my wonderful old friend Florence, met up with another friend and had a stimulating and provocative discussion about theatre, and then was going to go see Begin Again, but...I was tired (and relaxed!), so I came home, hugged my Dad, walked the dog again, and now Im going to curl up with a book until I fall asleep. It was a nice day.
