For all you parents in NSW, there is currently no FIRIS in your state. You obviously need one, but in the meantime, there IS a way for you to send a message to your Dept of Education that YOU DONT WANT SCRIPTURE IN YOUR SCHOOLS. And this is how you can do it. A taxpayer funded SRE celebration will be held in Parliament House on 23rd October 2014. iccoreis.asn.au/news/ EVERYONE NEEDS TO GO TO THIS EVENT! TURN UP AT PARLIAMENT HOUSE AND TELL THE EDUCATION MINISTER ADRIAN PICCOLI THAT THIS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED BY PARENTS IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS. One was also held back in 2012, at Parliament House, funded by you. Have a look at the happy snaps below. The guy who wrote the Big Rescue Bible even got an award from the Minister. Remember the Big Rescue Bible? Thats the one that tells the kids on page 5 & 6 that its all true. But....how could this happen? Well - you can thank the Ethics people for this. As part of the deal for agreeing to allow ethics classes into schools, the religious groups demanded that the Government host and pay for their SRE parties at Parliament House. And this was only one of the sweeteners handed over. For everyone who is a supporter of ethics in NSW - please think again. So folks in NSW - This is your chance to do something. There is no FIRIS in NSW. It is up to you to make a start with this SRE party.
