For any of the JFK conspiracy theories to be correct, at some - TopicsExpress

For any of the JFK conspiracy theories to be correct, at some point you have to disregard some piece of physical evidence. If you follow the physical facts, they lead back to the obvious. This is true for most crimes, just as it is in this one. We invest or own emotions into tragedies. Unfortunately, sometimes those emotions cloud reality, which is a natural defense mechanism for us. People worldwide held, and still hold, JFK in the highest of esteem. There are many reasons for this. He had a natural charisma, as did Jackie. It was an extremely tense time with the cold war, the civil rights movement, issues that were the prelude to the Vietnam War. Another really big reason is that this was the first time we could follow such a tragedy instantaneously because of television. Prior to television, we were basically told what to believe because all of our information came by newsprint or word of mouth. It was kinda like the childs game telephone. It was very easy to manipulate the information. With television, it was the first time we watched such a tragedy in real time. This gave us the ability to be given mass amounts of information and the chance for each and every person to come up with their own conclusion of the events. All of these things lend themselves to wanting a sense of something positive. JFK presented that sense of positive to us and to the world. So we feel that something bigger has to be the reason because we dont want to believe that some squirrelly little psychopath with evil in his heart can kill our King of Camelot.
