For anyone that thinks I am a good DJ and is into music and had the privilege to go to Zanzibar, heres a recent interview with one of my major inspirations in the field of deejaying, Tony Humphries. I used to go to this club and sit/dance for hours and try get the basics of his technique because he was literally THE KING during that time period. I picked up some valuable stuff because I got a lot of work taking the approach this guy took when it came to playing in a club or party. Hes still relevant and working a lot overseas because the popularity of the dance/house genre takes him there, but it was interesting listening to this shamans perspective on music. Man, that 9,000 watt system was banging; I can still remember how the subs went through you when the bass dropped!
