For anyone wanting some help with putting together objections, - TopicsExpress

For anyone wanting some help with putting together objections, below are a few examples of objections you could use. You may wish to use your own, or to re-word the examples, but it is VITAL that your objection is introduced as below or it will not count! I wish to formally object to Policy COM04 - New neighbourhood at North Baddesley. I believe that the Revised Local Plan is not in accord with National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) guidelines and is therefore unsound. My objections are as follows: Objection 1: The site at Hoe Lane is the wrong land in the wrong place and there is no evidence that the infrastructure around North Baddesley will be improved to accommodate the development, contrary to NPPF para 7. Objection 2: TVBC have failed to take into consideration the concerns expressed by North Baddesley residents at previous consultations that this is NOT a sustainable development. This is contrary to NPPF para 155. TVBC have run rough-shod over the concerns of the people who actually live in the area and will have to live with the consequences of an inadequate plan. Objection 3: TVBC have not thoroughly researched alternative sites in the area, specifically brownfield sites, contradicting the requirements of the NPPF para 111. In addition, Sites of less than 50 dwellings which would fulfil the housing needs in a more balanced and sustainable way, have not been assessed. Objection 4: TVBC have failed to protect the natural environment, contrary to NPPF paras 7 & 118. The development will result in the loss of irreplaceable habitats and many ancient trees both on the site itself, and as a result of the major changes that will be necessary to reconstruct Hoe Lane. Objection 5: TVBC have paid insufficient attention to the risk of flooding in the area and to the likelihood of the flood risk being increased elsewhere as a result of this development, contrary to NPPF paras 100 & 103. The surface water from the site flows north to the village. The increased run off and discharge of surface water will increase the flood risk to houses nearby. Objection 6: Policy COM04 will NOT help to build a strong, vibrant or healthy community, contrary to NPPF paras 7, 69 and 72, because of its location. Hoe Lane residents will become isolated due to their distance from village amenities and their children being unable to get places in the local schools. Objection 7: Policy COM04 will increase both traffic congestion and greenhouse gas emissions, contrary to NPPF para 30. North Baddesley has poor and expensive public transport, and its location means that residents of the new development will be forced to rely on their cars to travel to work (as there are few employment opportunities in North Baddesley), to take children to school and to access basic amenities.
