For assurance of salvation: We should continually look to the cross & the work of God in Christ, because this is where God makes the light of His gospel shine. We should continually pray for God to “enlighten the eyes of our hearts” (Eph. 1:18). We should love each other; because, “We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brethren.” In the end, the assurance of salvation, like repentance and faith, is a precious gift of God. Let’s pray for each other that the assurance of salvation will abound among all true believers.
