For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf.(Genesis 37 vs 7). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional Today.Todays Focal Scripture tells the tale of Josephs dream. Joseph dreamt a dream, and in that dream, he was binding sheaves with his brethren. In that dream, he was harvesting like his brethren; as this was going on, Joseph also said that his own sheaf stood upright. Josephs sheaf became outstanding among his brothers sheaves. He may have been doing the same thing they were doing,but somehow, he rose above them. He may have been in the same business with them, but somehow, he overtook them. He may have started with them, but he went ahead of them.Friend, hear Gods Word of Grace to you: There may be people who are doing the same thing you are doing, but God says you will overtake them. You may have started with them, but you will rise above them. You may have the same ideas they have, but God will distinguish you above them.The other sheaves in Josephs dream belonged to his elder brothers,but those sheaves bowed to his own sheaf. God says, they may be ahead of you at the moment, but they will eventually bow to you. Your commonality with people will soon give way for distinction.Their competition wont take anything from your results.
