For christmas I got a new mattress. New Pyjamas. I ate an xmas dinner And sat in the warmth. I also met 71 year old Victor who as lived on the street since 1973 Gary who cried when he told me he had become homeless after hitting a dark period in his life And another fella who became homeless after coming out of prison to nothing. I shared cups of tea, served dinner, sat beside an empty chair waiting for a guest to join me, and danced with most of the people in this video. I just watched this and by far it reminds me of the best thing I was part of this christmas; Giving someone else a mattress Somewhere to sleep in pyjamas An xmas dinner And warmth. How lucky Rachel Hevicon and I were to meet all of these people during crisis this year. If you have a little time over christmas next year - do it. We are all busy.
