For everyone of my fellow marketers using Stripe as a merchant account. My warning - stay away and get another service. Out of the blue I received an email saying sorry they are terminating my account because they cant accept payments for multi level or network marketing companies My reply, I am not a multi level or network marketing company, I consult and create info products. I received a vague reply not acknowledging my reply Unfortunately, our banking partners have some broad restrictions in this general category of business because of the disproportionate associated chargeback risks. Since these restrictions arent our own, Im afraid our hands are tied here. So I just replied and said, awesome now I know I will not have a risk in the future because you guys are the ones that are risky! I never had not one refund or even a chargeback - No problems So this was a lesson for me and hopefully you guys can learn from this too. I am moving to where the big dogs play- Costs more money but totally worth it - my time and energy is worth way more than to play around with non serious companies. Good this actually happened now before I went full throttle with em. That would have been a nightmare contacting hundreds of customers and clients.
