The guy who experimented with dog training and taught his canines to associate the sound of a bell with food to the point where they would salivate when they heard it ring. Well, even if that doesn’t ring any bells for you (ha geddit), you’ll certainly love this video that also involve a dog and a bell. YouTube user Kirk Miller is training his 10-week old dachshund puppy to user a service bell. The eventual aim is to have the dog, whose name is Maddie, ringing the bell when she needs to go outside and ‘commune with nature’. The training process is still in stage one however, so Maddie’s lessons involve ringing the bell and getting a treat every time. Perhaps it’s the adorable puppy or the surreal act of her using a service bell, or maybe it’s the ever-so-slightly creepy slippers that the man (who we can only assume is Mr Miller himself) is wearing. Whatever it is, this video is quickly climbing its way to the top of our favourites list. So we know that this is supposed to be about a human training a dog, but it looks an awful lot like Maddie has got the perfect set-up. For her, dinner is only a bell-ring away. ‘Hey you, human!
