WOODBURY, NJ---On Thursday, August 15, 2013 starting at 6 pm, RPM Development in conjunction with the City of Woodbury, will hold an open house, Q & A session, for seniors interested in applying to live in the newly renovated Historic GG Green Building located at 108 S Broad Street in downtown Woodbury. The meeting will be held in the Council Chambers on the second floor of City Hall at 33 Delaware Street. Refreshments will be served. G.G. Green Senior Housing will be available for active seniors, 55 and older, at multiple income levels. This information will be explained and discussed at the August 15 meeting. According to Woodbury’s Mayor Bill Volk, “We appreciate the work that RPM has put into saving this great historic structure in our downtown and it is great that they are meeting with potential new City residents to explain their application process. It all helps to bring people to our downtown to showcase the newly renovated building and the entire City.” In 2012, RPM stepped in to save the nationally registered historic GG Green building, which was scheduled for demolition due to structural damage caused by the 2011 earthquake. The GG Green Building served as an Opera House in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s and eventually became a Rialto movie theater. In October of this year, RPM will open their doors to 55 one and two bedroom senior living apartments and approximately 7,000 sf of retail space. Throughout this LEED Certified building, units will feature modern kitchens with Energy Star appliances, thoughtfully designed bathrooms with attractive tiling and fixtures, sizable bedrooms, efficient HVAC systems and refined flooring. The downtown district additionally offers great access to retail stores, quality schools, public transportation, and employment assistance offices. In addition, all building residents will have access to a variety of social services at no cost. These services will be organized by an on-site coordinator in a designated community room and will consist of programming such as employment assistance, educational workshops, and referrals to community support groups. The Community Room will be in a restored section of the historic building and will be available for public gatherings and events.
