For me it was the oposite experience. if it werent for other people my vegas trip would have been upsetting. my phone got returned to me after i lost it in the cool down sections on the second night of edc. people gave tommy water when he was super thirsty because of standing in line for a hour in a hot tent waiting for a shuttle. I met alot of other sober ravers this year. what upset me was having to leave early because we didnt want to wait hours for a shuttle and then hours to get back to our hotel! i missed avicii, tiesto, atrak, dash and many other amazing sets because of the shuttle issue. - it took us 4 hours to get back to our hotel at the excalibur on night one. the reason it became an issue is because we were worried about dehydration and having enough sleep to even attempt the next night. less practical water refill stations made us have to pay 5$ for a water alllll weekend and the 100 degree heat is gnarly if you arent used to it. last year was BLISS i had no problems, stayed from 7pm-6am and got on the shuttle with plenty of water which ment plenty of rest which ment not missing a beat the next night. all and all i love EDC LV and it will always be in my heart and ill always reflect on it with nostalgia. but this year it was the other attendees- who really made that weekend for me.
