For most student Vets, Winter Break is now over. Regardless of whether its winter quarter or spring semester, now might be the time for traditional students at community colleges to begin considering schools and programs for where they plan to transfer later this Fall. While theres nothing wrong with the local State University, weve been seeing more and more of the elite private schools increasing their efforts to bring in student Vets. Many of them, like Vassar, as told in the link below, are going above and beyond in this endeavor. Looking for ways to support the growing number of returning veterans and help them succeed, Vassar is the first college in the country to offer the Posse program for veterans. It has committed to not only funding the full four-year tuition for these students, beyond the GI Bill and Yellow Ribbon benefits, but also to an ongoing program for new veterans in subsequent freshman classes.
