For my Edison High School Friends: Edison Class of 1964 50 Year Reunion SAVE THE DATES, PLEASE! Friday, August 8, Saturday, August 9, and Sunday, August 10, 2014. Please note that ALL Edison graduates, regardless of graduation date, are invited. Tell your friends! Reunion Schedule August 8 - Friday Evening: An informal gathering at the Atrium Lounge in the lobby (by the pool) of the Radisson Hotel at Star Plaza, 800 East 81st Ave (US Hwy 30), Merrillville, IN, 46410, will start about 7:30pm. The hotel is located just west of the intersection of I-65 and Hwy30. Food and drink are available for purchase on a cash basis. August 9 - Saturday Evening: The main dinner for the Edison Class of 1964 50 Year Reunion will be on the evening of Saturday, August 9, 2014, at the Patio Restaurant, 7706 Broadway, Merrillville, IN, 46410, starting at 6:00pm. Dinner will be 3 entries, a potato, and a vegetable. It’s served with salad, bread, coffee, tea, and ice cream or fresh fruit. There will be a cash bar. After dinner, a professional photographer will take a class photo, copies of which may be purchased later in the evening. Classmates also will be able purchase photos taken in front of an event background. Music and conversation will follow. There will be a 50/50 raffle, and the music compact discs also will be raffled. August 10 - Sunday Morning: We’re working on organizing a brunch for Sunday morning. Details will follow when they’re available. You can help us with the planning by indicating whether or not you’re interested in attending such a function. Reunion Costs The price for the main Saturday evening dinner and reunion will be $55 per person. Please make checks payable to Mike Certa and get them to him by Friday, July 25, 2014. Please note somewhere on the check “Edison Reunion.” Photographer Armando Gomez will take the class photo, 8 ½ by 11 copies of which may be purchased for $20. 8 by 10 copies of individual photos take in front of an event background will be $10 each. You can preview his work at armandosphotos.photoreflect. Reunion photos will be posted on his site for purchase after the event. Hotel Room Group Rate You are free to make your own arrangements. However, Courtyard by Marriott, 7850 Rhode Island Street, Merrillville, IN, 46410, will be offering rooms at a $109 per night group rate for August 8 and 9 for our event. Breakfast is not included, but a full hot breakfast may be purchased at the Courtyard Café. To get the group rate, reservations must be made prior to July 8, 2014. Cancellations must occur 7 day prior to arrival or a one night’s room tax fee will apply to the individual credit card on file at the time of cancellation.
