For my McGill friends: RONALD E. KOZLOWSKI VALPARISO, IN Ronald E. Kozlowski, 75, of Valparaiso passed away Sunday, August 10, 2014 at home with his family. He was born June 17, 1939 in LaPorte to Clem & Helen (Witek) Kozlowski, graduated from Elston High School in1956 and attended Indiana University. Ron retired in 2000 from McGill’s Manufacturing Electrical Division as General Manager with 40 years of service. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and Valparaiso Country Club. Following the Chicago Bears and White Sox gave him moments of great joy and despair. Golfing, fishing and traveling with his family were much more predictable avenues of enjoyment for him. On April 29, 1961 he married Sharon Johnson who survives along with their children: Kevin (Renee) Kozlowski of Ft. Mill, SC, Tina Kozlowski of Valparaiso, Beth Young of Valparaiso, brother, Jim (Beth) Kozlowski of Chesterton and grandchildren: Michael Kozlowski, Katelyn (Cam) Smith, Jacob Moore, John Young, Jr. and Maddie Young. He was preceded in death by his parents. A funeral mass will be offered Thursday 11:00 am at St. Paul Catholic Church 1855 Harrison Blvd., Valparaiso, Fr. Joe Pawlowski officiating with cremation to follow. Visitation Wednesday 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.mm at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the VNA of Porter County or the American Cancer Society .
