For my Middle Tennessee Facebook friends: ...Wind Advisory in effect from 3 AM CDT until 3 PM CDT on Tuesday...rain and a wintry mix of precip possible...much colder temps and wind chills behind cold front... The strongest cold front of the season will arrive for most of the midstate prior to sunrise on Tuesday, bringing with it winds of 15-25 mph with gusts 35-45 mph. A Wind Advisory is in effect for the western 2/3s of Middle Tennessee. Temperatures will remain in the 30s during the day and likely fall to or near the freezing mark by sunset. Wind chills will be in the 20s for much of the day with lows well into the 20s on both Tuesday and Wednesday night. With the colder air, a weak low pressure system will provide for some light rain in southern areas with a light rain/sleet, sleet/snow mix, or light snow possible, especially across northern Middle Tennessee and the Cumberland Plateau through early/mid-afternoon. With only scattered light precip and temps above freezing during the day, little to no accumulation, slick spots or hazardous road conditions are expected, with the possible exception of the Plateau where a few slick spots could occur.
