For my UK friends--VODAFONE--Just got off the phone with Vodafone. I am trying to cancel my service with them. A little background...I started using Vodafone when we got here in 2009. The service then wasnt too bad. In the past 15 months the service for calls, messages and the ZERO coverage for 3G,4G (which is non-existent) has gotten so bad. I called earlier this week and I was assured I would receive a call from a manager. They called twice but because of the crappy service I did not get the call or the message I had missed a call until the next morning. So today I get my call from Vodafone. They say that I signed into the contract and they are sorry that the coverage is no good. They also said that the coverage in this area is very very low. I told her this was something that was not told to me or I would of looked at other providers. She said that the coverage in the area is the best it will be and to not expect it to get better. She told me they would offer to pay a month of my plan for the inconvenience. I told her that I would make sure I pass to all my friends here in the UK that the Vodafone representative told me that service in the Lakenheath and Mildenhall area is spotty at best. So newly arriving friends I would suggest going with ANYONE but VODAFONE. Please share!
