For my musician friends: When you write a song and the part is catchy, isnt it better to end as such and NOT repeat it again? Like, if the listener wants to hear that part they have to listen to the whole song again?? If that makes sense. Like, Adam Mokan pointed out to me once that a Tomahawk song should have repeated the chorus to Captain Midnight but it didnt. It made the listener go back to the song again. Thats exactly what an artist wants a fan to do. I do this unintentionally on purpose now. I never want to overkill a part in a song I wrote. Its all feel and organic but I make a conscious decision to try and not make something good stale. Is this a sort of a subconscious dichotomy of sorts or am I too paranoid as a songwriter?
