For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. - TopicsExpress

For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. (Rom 14:7) One of the illusions in the church today is saints who think they own their life. The Bible is very clear that you are not your own (1 Cor 6:19). You are crucified with Christ and His life is now in you (Gal 2:20). Besides having His life, we are His body, His flesh and His bones (Eph 5:30). This is as much a corporate implication as it is an individual one. Just like all parts of your physical body work in congruity, all members of the body of Christ need each other. With this understanding, living for self is not an option. You as a member of a body ought to look out for the needs of the whole body. When you move forward, are you doing so with the body? because when you are attacked, the body is attacked. This mind will get you to prayer having the requests of the whole body not only your own. When you give, do so as unto the body. Live with the understanding that you owe some accountability to the rest of the body. This includes also those who shall believe through your word (Jn 17:20). Morning!
