(Eph 5:8-11) New Living Translation Bible Because of our union with Christ, who is the Light, we are light as He is Light. We are to walk as children of the light. As we walk in the Light of Christ, goodness, righteousness and truth is produced in our lives. When we walk in the Light of Christ, we not only produce fruit, but we find out what is pleasing and acceptable unto God, by examining ourselves. The Light of Christ exposes the hidden things in us that are not pleasing to the Father, so every thought, every word, every action, every motive, the way we think, the way we dress, the way we act, the books we read, the places we go and even the company we keep is put to the test. Oh..well start asking questions like: Lord, what do You think about this or that? Lord, do You think I should go here or there? Lord, did I do the right thing? Did I respond in the way You wanted me to? Did I do anything to displease You? Should I wear this dress or that dress? Should I help this person in need? What do You want me to do about this Lord? Have you ever done that? That means you were finding out what was pleasing and acceptable to the Father! Oh, He is well pleased when we diligently seek Him to find what is acceptable and pleasing unto Him! As we continue to walk in the light of Christ, other people will be affected by the Light of Christ in us.
