For our Camp Fire Clubs Happy and Healthy emblem, I called on my old friend (and former tormentor) James Johnson, who runs Get Fit Boot Camp in Toccoa. He welcomed us to his facility with open arms and proceeded to absolutely wear the kiddos out with jumping jacks, bear crawls, a loooong obstacle course, and rope climbing. It was an awesome experience and theyre already asking when they can go back! On a personal note....I cannot believe how far James Boot Camp has come over the past several years. It is a far cry from those days where we would work out in his garage or under the pavilion at Doyle Street and he hauled all his equipment around in a little trailer behind his car! I stopped doing the boot camp when I was pregnant with Savannah but I fully intend to start again once she starts preschool. I am so proud of James for achieving his dreams of his own facility! It is amazing!
