For sale we have a fantastic example of a Jaguar s type 2.7 litre - TopicsExpress

For sale we have a fantastic example of a Jaguar s type 2.7 litre twin turbo diesel. But unfortunately has developed a intermittent limp mode activation when accelerating swiftly/hard. Have had it checked out and the turbos work in sink perfectly and are boosting correctly. It is the boost controller / actuator. A second hand part can be bought and fitted and should fix the problem. But I am using the car every day still as it is perfectly drivable as it will still do 70 if gone into limp mode. There is no warning lights or engine management lights appeared at any point but when the ecu reader was plugged in it found the fault P0299 which is what i explained above. This car has been a very well looked after car by its previous owner of 10 years. It has covered a 161k of motorway miles in extreme quietness and comfort, when you come and drive it, it feels like a quarter of that mileage. Body work: The body work is in fantastic condition for mileage, no dents or real scratches as you can see by photos. I will have the car valeted before sale as i am using the car every day at the moment. Engine: Well this is the party piece of the car, it is a 2.7 twin turbo diesel producing 205bhp with a seamless automatic transmission. Silky smooth changes and the quietest engine i have ever heard. its a pleasure to drive and has some serious poke when need be. I drove this car two and from Liverpool and it returned a very impressive 47mpg at 70mph on the motorway. Even with the intermittent problem, when it doesnt go into limp mode it pulls fantastic and in or out is whisper quiet. Interior: The interior shows how well the car has been looked after. No rips or wear in seats. The only one that looks like it has been sat in is the drivers seat to be honest. The electric memory leather seats work faultlessly and the seat even moves back for you and the steering wheel moves up so its easier to get out (as it presumes you are 95 years old :) but its a nice touch. All electrics work perfectly and the sound system is fantastic. Toys: electric windows electric leather memory seats self moving seats on ignition entry. auto dimming rear mirror and wing mirrors (which I have never seen on any car ive owned) cruise control 6 stack cd changer dual zone climate control self realising parking brake auto lights and delay on lights when ignition is off. Service history and tyres: This car has mostly main dealer stamps up to current mileage (last service today). oil changed every 10-15k miles throughout its life as it seems and the cambelt has been done at correct time. There is 4 nearly new michelin pilot sport tyres on and i had a look under the car today when being serviced and there is not a ounce of rust and the exhausts look nearly new. Bad points: Well the is not anything negative i can say about this car bar what i have said.. There are a few surface scratches here and rust bubbling at one arch but not come though and there that i will polish out this week and a few small stone chips on the bumper but unless your face is against the paintwork it looks immaculate to be honest. grab yourself a fantastic car still. Sensible offers or possible swaps. Any questions call me on 07827275535 or to arrange a viewing. cash on collection.
