BS (Accounting & Finance) with Possible exemptions in CA and ACCA INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT SCIENCES PESHAWAR Admissions Open: BS (Accounting & Finance) The Institute of Management Sciences Peshawar (IMSciences) is a public sector degree awarding autonomous institution that has been ranked at 5th position in the category of business school of Pakistan by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC). Fifty of our faculty members have won national and international competitive doctoral scholarships for higher studies. Our roster of academics includes thirty three faculty members with PhD degrees from technologically advanced countries. IMSciences is launching BS (Accounting & Finance), which is a highly specialized degree. The students will acquire the knowledge and technical skills needed to analyze accounting/finance and business problems. They will understand how best to communicate and use financial information to support business decisions. With the management of financial information underpinning all business activity, there are more employment and career opportunities in accounting and finance than many other areas of study. This degree will equip students for a rewarding career in any sector of the economy. For example, graduates may pursue a career as Financial Accountant, Forensic Accountant, Management Accountant, Auditor, Chief Financial Officer, Financial Advisor and Tax Specialist. The BS (Accounting & Finance) is a degree for students who know they wish to specialize in accounting/finance and seek membership of professional bodies later on (e.g., ICAP, ACCA, CFA, IBP). IMSciences is already in the process of negotiating exemptions with ICAP and IBP. IMSciences invites applications for the BS (Accounting & Finance), a four-year degree programme. The whole programme is semester based and offered with a mix of pedagogical tools to maximize learning. Financial Support The Institute has managed to support the students from marginalized and neglected segments through comprehensive and well-developed scholarships and financial assistance programmes. This session, applicants for BS (Accounting & Finance) will have opportunities under 17 financial aid / scholarship programmes. Among these programmes, two (2) fully funded need and merit based scholarship programmes are announced, which are funded by NTS and Workers Welfare Board.
