For the Critics in a nutshell (Smh…LOL): 1. The founder of “Christianity” wrote the 10 Commandments by hand. Everything else was revealed to Prophets. Why didn’t God just write the bible Himself? Besides, the fact that people are already bowing to statues, they’d probably be bowing to scriptures. Why didn’t He just confront the Pharoah of Egypt personally? Why didn’t He just build the Temple Himself? Why didn’t He just exercise His own Faith to make miracles happen? Nothing wrong with questions but He’s God, He can do whatever He wants. 2. Jesus BOTH clarified AND Affirmed what was already revealed to the Prophets who didn’t live to see the promises. Things that Angels were looking into. YET, even Paul clarified and affirmed AFTER the Gospels. The writers warned against adding or taking anyway from them. 3. Did Jesus speak to the multitudes in His presence or people 2,000 years later? Both and THROUGHOUT 2,000 years. There is no time gap! Seriously, He’s eternal. He prayed for future generations of believers? Was He oblivious that someone would write down His life to pass onto future believers? He could have commanded them not to. You only know what you know cuz someone wrote it down. 4. The people that put the bible together were a bunch of scholars, leaders and Rabbinical peeps that agreed on a whole on what was Holy Spirit inspired scripture. The OT was already established before the time of Christ so that takes care of that. You NEED that because otherwise, we would be reading heretical books like the Book of Thomas, book of Judas and a bunch of other quacks and Gnostic books. Under your logic, why not include the Quran? How else would we know that Joseph Smith, the founder of Mormonism, was a false teacher UNLESS we compare his teachings to the Prophets and Apostles??? Personally, sometimes I dip into the book of Enoch though scholars agree 100% of it is not authentic but it DOES agree on some things in the bible; Jude quoted from it. You should be grateful someone took the time to review over these exhaustively so you can appreciate their efforts. Otherwise, go read the book of Mary Magdalene and see how that works out. 5. Why don’t you just should quote from the other books that you feel are being ignored. Are there any books that you feel, merit inclusion? If so, list them. Quote from them. You’re free to develop your own canon and….religion. Many of these scriptures you question, the Apostle Peter says they’re inspired. Jesus quoted many passages as authoritive and used them to counter the spirit being Satan (not some mental condition He was in). No idle words leaves Jesus’ lips so we can be confident that we’re in good hands. That might surprise you. It’s so inconsistent to quote from the bible and stand firm next to scriptures and then in the same breath say “Are you just following what these MEN are telling you?” That’s getting “tossed to and fro.” If I had to choose, I would choose what these “mere” men are saying over the outlandish stuff that people espouse today. At least they’re CONSISTENT and PROPHETIC.
