[For the benefit of friends who couldnt locate Petes post] I - TopicsExpress

[For the benefit of friends who couldnt locate Petes post] I remember visiting Win in the hospital for the last time one year ago today. The man who was known for seemingly boundless energy looked so frail that I wasnt surprised when I received the call the next day that he had passed. But it made me very sad. The news began a flood of memories of a friendship that began fifty years earlier. As many of us knew, he was always generous with his time, offering counsel and much more, including flying to Kansas City to stand as best man at my wedding. I felt what I gave in return over the years was paltry in comparison: writing, editing, photography, campaign support and fishing-enabler, but Win was always very effusive in his thanks for every little thing. A wonderful friend is greatly missed. What are the Wood Stoves friends remembering about Win?
