For the evening, we are honoured to welcome our three distinguished speakers: Fraser Reilly-King Fraser Reilly-King is the Policy Analyst on Aid and International Cooperation for the Canadian Council for International Co-operation (CCIC), the umbrella organization for Canadian not-for-profit organizations engaged in international development work. He is the Vice-Chair of the Reality of Aid Network and the North American representative to the CSO Partnership for Development Effectiveness. He has a Masters in Development Studies from the London School of Economics. Dr. Yiagadeesen Samy Dr. Yiagadeesen (Teddy) Samy is an Associate Professor, and the MA Program Supervisor, at Carleton Universitys Norman Paterson School of International Affairs. He is the co-editor of the most recent edition - on Canada-Africa relations - of the leading Canada Among Nations series, and is an important contributor to the literature on fragile states. His broad research interests are in the areas of international and development economics. Bernard Taylor Bernard Taylor joined Partnership Africa Canada (PAC) in the 1990s when PAC managed a programme fund for Africa. He has a wealth of experience in project management, as well as with multistakeholder processes related to natural resource governance and conflict. He has overseen PAC’s support for the Kimberley Process, the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region and Publish What You Pay. Previously, he had worked for eight years with NGOs in Ethiopia, Burkina Faso, Mali and Senegal. He is the co-author of a study by PAC of northern Somalia: Peace and Development in Northern Somalia - Opportunities and Challenges.
