For the final day of 2014 I spent my day doing what I do best.... Rescue- Today I bathed an emaciated, abused , injured and neglected dog. He will have surgery on Friday to remove his leg that hangs uselessly from his front left shoulder. He has obviously not had a decent meal in a very long time. He is heart worm positive. He was literally on deaths door at ACS... But yesterday I met him. And despite his condition that young man limped his way across his cell and gave me sweet puppy kisses. He calmly sat in front of me and waited for me to pet him. He looked at me with his sad soulful eyes with nothing but trust and love. And I couldnt say no. So today I bathed my handsome sweet boy in preparation for his amputation and neuter. And he returned the favor with all the love and energy of a healthy four legged puppy! Some of the best dang pibble kisses a girl could ask for. This is how I choose to end my year. Thank you Patrick Dugan for understanding and facilitating this need.
