For the last 4 years of my life, Ive worked basically 24/7s putting together and building a Celebration of life event where uniformed members of the Emergency Services can come and wear the very same uniforms they put on for funerals / memorials, but in a much happier setting. Its a weight scale balancing act of ones emotional psyche. To march in a parade where thousands of American citizens are cheering them on, as a support mechanism that permits them to continue paying tribute and respect to our fallen heros and support their families in their heartbroken time of need. As I look at my Facebook wall, I see many of these uniformed brothers and sisters making the trek to Boston today, to spend several days there paying their respects, tributes and family support for the recent Line of duty deaths of two Boston Firemen. Lieutenant Edward Walsh and Firefighter Michael Kennedy. To them I say - Go raibh maith agat agus Dia bless / Thank you and God Bless. Do them proud, and make it home safe.
