For the last week or so, For some reason I couldnt or cant get into the Christmas season or spirit. Thats not like me at all!! Im usually happy, wrapping gifts, decorating the inside & outside of our home & excited as my 4 babies are for Santa/ Christmas to come. Well they r 16,14,9 &13 mnths, But this will be Declan (My 13 mnths olds) 1st Christmas that he kind of knows what going on. One part of he reason I feel like this is bcause I lost all my ornaments that the kids made me over the yrs & ones we have had since my oldest was born when the storm hit & the storage I was rented got flooded it all got ruined. But we do have a tree & all we need from last year & it just didnt feel the same. I guess Im just too sentimental when it comes to things my kids make me. With that being said, Last night I prayed God please help me get into the Christmas spirit Well this morning I was taking my daughter to school & as I was driving I had to slow down in the school zone & I seen this gentleman putting a few boxes in front of his house. It was weird because we both caught eye contact, Which is very rare for me. I dropped my daughter off & drove down the road fixing to pass his house & I looked & there was the boxes that said FREE TO A GOOD HOME So me being the Frugal person I am I stopped & grabbed the boxes. I noticed him sitting on his porch drinking what I assume coffee & he looked & smiled & waved & of course I waved back & smiled. When I got home I looked in the boxes & it was alot of useful Christmas decorations that I needed to decorate the outside, inside & the tree. Some still new never even opened. So my point is with this post is that PRAYER WORKS!! I do feel more in the spirit now & my 9 yr old will be thrilled because hes been decorating everything he can. SORRY THIS IS SO LONG OF A POST!! I just felt the need to post this. It has really touched my heart this year to know that their is kind, great ppl in the world, That does care for others :) I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year.
