For the many that have asked questions about what ‘Practicing Christ’s Presence’ and my new book Journey to More is all about, please read on for a simple explanation: There is never a moment when God is not present with you and me! PTL. There is never a doubt or question about His Omni-Presence. The troubling and perplexing question and conflict, how often do we REALIZE His Presence, ACTUALIZE it, and RESPOND to Him? Yes, it’s a mystery, but wonderful reality that He’s with us, wants our attention and fellowship, and will never leave us. He’s with us when were watching TV, reading about Him. He’s there while we’re having dinner with other friends, and riding in our car. You get it…He’s with us ALL them time. But the disconnect, are we with Him? How can we say we are when He isn’t a conscious part in what we’re doing? Could it be that we are ignoring Him? Yes, He’s continually talking with us through our enlightened conscience and His Spirit, but how are we responding in some way? I fear that much of the time, we (I) simply forget, and/or worse yet, ignore His Magnificent Presence? When we’re in our car, do we talk with Him? When having lunch or dinner with friends, we talk to them, but do we include Jesus in on our conversation? Why not? Do we even consider introducing our Unseen Friend to others with us? Why not? He’s there and would love that! Now here’s a terrible thought; could it be that talking (too much) with Him and about Him is embarrassing? Maybe we feel strange and peculiar about talking to Him or about Him too much? Perhaps that’s why God calls us to be “peculiar” and “foolish for His sake (Titus 2:14; I Peter 2:9).
