For the past few months on Thursday we have been participating in the Facebook Throw Back Thursday initative. It is the one day of the week when people look for a picture from days of yore and share with friends and family. Well....today is extra special. No, it is not special for the pictures that we are posting. In fact, we are not posting any whatsoever. But we are excited to share that the Savannah Jewish Archives is rolling out their new website which is filled with photos, information, and the history of the Jewish community. A work in progress, the site already has lots of photos and information. We hope that youll take the time to wander through the pages and provide your feedback to the Archives. Their goal is to get as much of the collection online as is possible. Of course, we hope that as you squeal with delight at the many photos and oral histories, that youll also take the time to provide financial support so that they may digitize more of the collection over the coming weeks and months.
