For the second time this summer I have been able to witness the compassion and appreciation a community can give to one of their firefighters. Don Pluff is a volunteer firefighter with Central Crossing Fire & an employee of J. Brown Disposal. Don has always been one to help others & the first one to step up. In recent months Don lost his son in a tragic accident, lost his mother, and is now battling a rare form of cancer. In Shell Knob this evening 100s turned out to enjoy some BBQ and help a brother in a time of need. Again, I couldn’t ask for a better job and a better profession. Proud to be a firefighter.
