For the week of December 14th, 2014 to December 21st, the Marcy Diner is holding a toy drive on behalf of The Murphy Tomas Foundation for children with disabilities. These children have diagnosis such Autism, Brain tumor and other disabilities. Many of their families have depleted theirr savings or have to survive on a one parent income because one parent has to stay home to care for the child/children 24/7. Many have exhausted all their financial resources since certain therapies are not covered by insurance. Below you will find a list of different items that have been requested for children of six families: Gift cards or any type of gift card to clothing stores, as many children just asked for clothing. Boy items: Sponge Bob toys, basketball, monster trucks, cars, tractors, trains. Girl items: Make up, blow dryer, bath gift sets, perfume gift sets, hair accessories, Barbie’s, frozen dolls, Electronics:Tablets, Leap Frog, Learning games, Just dance Wii Games, Wii Games, Xbox, Cell phone, laptop, and leapster tablet. Your donation is also tax deductible through The Murphy Thomas Foundation.
