International Appointments and Promotions It is my privilege to share with you information regarding international appointments and promotions decided by the General. EFFECTIVE MAY 1, 2014 LT. COLONELS IVOR AND CAROL TELFER, officers of the United Kingdom Territory with the Republic of Ireland and currently serving respectively as Secretary for Business Administration and Assistant Chief Secretary in that territory, are appointed as territorial leaders of the Pakistan Territory. Lt. Colonel Ivor Telfer is appointed as Territorial Commander, Pakistan Territory and Lt. Colonel Carol Telfer as Territorial President of Women’s Ministries. Both take up their new appointment responsibilities with the rank of colonel. They succeed Commissioners Alistair and Astrid Herring, who will be taking up new appointment responsibilities in their home territory (New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga). EFFECTIVE JUNE 1, 2014 MAJORS EDWARD AND DEBORAH HORWOOD, officers of the USA Western Territory currently serving respectively as General Secretary and Command Secretary for Women’s Ministries in the Angola Command, are appointed to the Tanzania Territory. Major Edward Horwood is appointed as Territorial Commander, Tanzania Territory and Major Deborah Horwood as Territorial President of Women’s Ministries. Both take up their new appointment responsibilities with the rank of colonel. They succeed Colonels Lindsay and Lynette Rowe, who will be taking up new appointment responsibilities in their home territory (Canada and Bermuda). MAJORS MARIO AND CELESTE NHACUMBA, Mozambican officers currently serving respectively as Portugal Secretary and Portugal Programme Secretary in the Spain and Portugal Command are appointed to the Angola Command. Major Mario Nhacumba is appointed as General Secretary, Angola Command, and Major Celeste Nhacumba as Command Secretary for Women’s Ministries. COLONELS GABRIEL AND MONICA KATHURI, officers of the Kenya East Territory currently serving respectively as Principal and Director of Special Services, SALT College, International Headquarters, are appointed to the Liberia Command. Colonel Gabriel Kathuri is appointed as Officer Commanding Liberia Command and Colonel Monica Kathuri as Command President of Women’s Ministries. They succeed Lt. Colonel Festus Oloruntoba who will be taking up appointment responsibilities in his home territory (Nigeria). LT. COLONELS DANIEL AND ARSCHETTE MOUKOKO, officers of the Congo (Brazzaville) Territory currently serving respectively as Chief Secretary and Territorial Secretary for Women’s Ministries in that territory, are appointed to the Mozambique Territory. Lt. Colonel Daniel Moukoko is appointed as Territorial Commander and Lt. Colonel Arschette Moukoko as Territorial President of Women’s Ministries. Both take up their new appointment responsibilities with the rank of colonel. They succeed Colonels Ambroise and Alphonsine Zola, who will be retiring from active service. LT. COLONELS EUGENE AND BRIGITTE BAMANABIO, officers of the Congo (Brazzaville) Territory, currently serving respectively as Chief Secretary and Territorial Secretary for Women’s Ministries in the Uganda Territory, are appointed as Chief Secretary and Territorial Secretary for Women’s Ministries in the Congo (Brazzaville) Territory. MAJORS ELIUD AND AIDAH NABISWA, officers of the Uganda Territory and currently serving respectively as Assistant Chief Secretary and Assistant Territorial Secretary for Women’s Ministries in that territory, are appointed as Chief Secretary and Territorial Secretary for Women’s Ministries, Uganda Territory. They take up their new appointment responsibilities with the rank of lt. colonel. COMMISSIONERS ONAL AND EDMANE CASTOR, officers of the Caribbean Territory currently serving respectively as territorial leaders in that territory are appointed as territorial leaders in the Congo (Brazzaville) Territory. Commissioner Onal Castor is appointed as Territorial Commander, Congo (Brazzaville) Territory and Commissioner Edmane Castor as the Territorial President of Women’s Ministries. COLONELS JOSEPH AND ANGÉLIQUE LUKAU, officers of the Democratic Republic of Congo Territory and currently serving as territorial leaders in the Congo (Brazzaville) Territory are appointed as territorial leaders in the Ghana Territory. Colonel Joseph Lukau is appointed as the Territorial Commander, Ghana Territory, and Colonel Angélique Lukau as Territorial President of Women’s Ministries. COLONELS CHARLES AND DENISE SWANSBURY, officers of the United Kingdom Territory with the Republic of Ireland and currently serving as territorial leaders in the Ghana territory are appointed to International Headquarters. Colonel Charles Swansbury is appointed as International Secretary for Program Resources and Colonel Denise Swansbury as Mission Resources Secretary and, additionally, as Zonal Secretary for Women’s Ministries in the South Pacific and East Asia Zone. They will take up their new appointment responsibilities with promotion to the rank of commissioner – Colonel Charles Swansbury on June 1, 2014 and Colonel Denise Swansbury on June 2, 2014. COMMISSIONERS GERRIT AND EVA MARSEILLE, officers of the Netherlands and Czech Republic Territory currently serving respectively as International Secretary for Program Resources, and as Mission Resources Secretary and Zonal Secretary for Women’s Ministries, SPEA Zone, are appointed as the territorial leaders of the Caribbean Territory. Commissioner Gerrit Marseille is appointed as Territorial Commander, Caribbean Territory, and Commissioner Eva Marseille as Territorial President of Women’s Ministries. LT. COLONELS CHELLIAH AND MALLIKA MONI, officers of the India South Eastern Territory currently serving respectively as Chief Secretary and Territorial Secretary for Women’s Ministries in the India South Western Territory, are appointed as territorial leaders of the India Central Territory. Lt. Colonel Chelliah Moni is appointed as Territorial Commander, India Central Territory and Lt. Colonel Mallika Moni as Territorial President of Women’s Ministries. Both take up their new appointment responsibilities with the rank of colonel. They succeed Commissioners M.Y Emmanuel and T. Regina Chandra Bai who are retiring from active service. MAJORS CHAWNGHLUT VANLALFELA AND KHUPCHAWNG ROPALI, officers of the India Eastern Territory currently serving as divisional leaders in the Western Division of that territory, are appointed respectively as Chief Secretary and Territorial Secretary for Women’s Ministries, India South Western Territory. They each take up their new appointment responsibilities with the rank of lt. colonel. LT. COLONELS DAVIDSON AND MARIAMMA VARGHESE, officers of the India South Western Territory and currently serving respectively as National Secretary and Chaplain, India National Secretariat, are appointed to the India Eastern Territory, as Chief Secretary and Territorial Secretary for Women’s Ministries respectively. They succeed Lt. Colonels Lalramhluna and Kawlramthangi who will be retiring from active service.
