For those have not studied manuscript evidence and dont understand the attempt by satan through the Roman Catholic church to destroy the Word of God so only Rome can tell the world what God says, here is a brief history of the preservation of the Word of God. There is a difference folks in the versions. One for instance is that in the NIV in John 3:16 it reads in part he gave his one and only son. The word begotten in your KJV tells us that God gave life to His only begotten Son. You dont see begotten in the NIV and the others because it was not in the manuscripts that they translated from. They had already been corrupted. Please take the time to study over this. Satans attack on the Word of God began in the garden of Eden and has never stopped.
