For those of you in the UK, check out Channel 4 this Sunday night, April 20, at 8:00 PM, to watch the first episode of “For the Love of Cars”, as they beautifully “restore” an Ford Escort Mk 1 Mexico, channel4/programmes/for-the-love-of-cars/episode-guide. For those less familiar with this car, the Escort Mk 1 was designed to be a family car, but in 1968, a true legend was born, as the Escort captured the imagination of the rallying community, becoming, to this day, the most adored rally car in Europe (or despised if you werent running one). Because of Wilwood’s long history of supplying brakes to the European Rally Car market through partnership with Rally Design Ltd, Wilwood was pleased to supply the brakes for this restoration project.
