For those of you that have been following my posts regarding Kwan Do pre-prepared meals for the day. (all the details here https://facebook/groups/1510562369174529/permalink/1571684189729013/ ) I have been supplementing it with some chicken at night, protein powder with milk and lots of multi-vitamins and other supplements. Anyway, for most people its time saving benefits is not just the only benefit, we are all human and get lazy or run out of ideas. (well I do anyway) so this diet saves me time, frustration and eating foods that I didnt plan to. I am confident this will help many people trim down, from beginners to advanced. I am personally looking at losing 7kg of fat and putting some muscle on, (muscle being our second heart) so I continue with gym twice a day and sauna in my quest to get rid of my heart problem. So the reason I have an erection for this diet is because its going to help me in more ways than I first thought. I have been taking strong diuretics for 6 months now and as a consequence some times I feel retarded with a foggy brain and I wake up 3-4 times a night every night for a piss, but I am used to it, 5-6 times and I really suffer. Here are some of the side effects 1. Frequent urination. This may last for several hours after a dose. 2. Arrhythmia(abnormal heart rhythm) 3. Electrolyte abnormalities -- Blood test monitoring of blood chemistries or electrolytes, such as potassium, sodium, or kidney function, is important before and during drug use. 4. Extreme tiredness or weakness. These effects should decrease as your body adjusts to the medication. Call your doctor if these symptoms persist. 5. Muscle cramps or weakness. If you take potassium supplements, be sure that you are taking your potassium supplement correctly, if prescribed. Contact your doctor if these symptoms persist. 6. Dizziness, lightheadedness. Try rising more slowly when getting up from a lying or sitting position. 7. Blurred vision, confusion, headache, increased perspiration (sweating), and restlessness. If these effects are persistent or severe, contact your doctor. 8. Dehydration. Signs include dizziness, extreme thirst, excessive dryness of the mouth, decreased urine output, dark-colored urine, or constipation. If these symptoms occur, dont assume you need more fluids, call your doctor. 9. Fever, sore throat, cough, ringing in the ears, unusual bleeding or bruising, rapid and excessive weight loss. Contact your doctor right away. Skin rash. Stop taking the medication and contact your doctor right away. 10. Loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, or muscle cramps. Be sure that you are taking your potassium supplement correctly, if prescribed. I have experienced all of these side effects (mostly daily) and they continue to bug me, at a time of no drinking for 7 months, my mind should be working the best it has for years! But I often cant recal names etc. So, with Kwans diet I get the same per day and I have taken the list of food and my supplements and added them to myfitnesspal and worked out that I have a total of around 1,129 mg of sodium per day, this means I have a baseline and no accidents will happen, as I am human and accidents happen when I have eaten something with too much salt in it. This means I have a daily baseline of how much salt I am getting per day. With this calculated amount of sodium 1,129 mg (below what we require per day- especially in a hot country), I can now lower my diuretics very slowly, (over 1-2 months) this is something that the doctor cannot do because it takes a good patient to control and monitor everything, so they normally be on the safe side and tell you to continue at a high dosage, but with a steady salt intake and using the scales many times per day, I can now confidently decrease my diuretics slowly over the next month or 2. The doctor has allowed me to adjust my diuretic dosage (but not stop it) with careful monitoring as its about trust and thanks to this diet I now trust my intake is the same every day with no sodium accruing in the background. If I put too much water weight on in one day, I can take extra diuretics and a heavy sauna session and no food the next day to get rid of it quickly, Ive got it all figured out finally after many months! This is another step to getting my quality of life back! I need my REM sleep back to fix my body!
