For those of you that have been following the saga of Elijah Vs. the ground squirrels, here is a new chapter. As I walked into the dining hall, I saw a small critter running across the floor. Yes, a ground squirrel. Three others and I then attempted to chase it out, (the usual routine). As I cornered it against the door, it leaned against the glass in efforts to push it open...with no success. Deciding that it might just run out if I tried to open the door, I preceded to do so... Instead of running outside, the squirrel decided it was better to run straight up my pant leg...not on the outside. It made it to my knee cap before I could smack it out. This was quite possibly the most terrifying moment of my life. I feel as though my average day is quickly turning into a bad slapstick Chevy Chase movie. With me as the unfortunate victim of strange painful scenes. Ugh. camp life.
